Cauliflower and Spinach curry


Cauliflower - 1 Small Head
Spinach Leaves  - 1 1/2 Cups
Garlic  - 2
Coriander Powder  - 1/2 tsp
Red Chili Powder -  1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder  - a big Pinch
Mustard Seeds -  1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds -  1/4 tsp
Urad Dal  - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves  -5
Oil  - 2 Tbsps
Salt to taste


  1. Break the cauliflower into small florets and wash it.
  2. Wash and finely chop the spinach leaves.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,urad dhal,cumin and curry leaves.
  4. When mustard seeds start spluttering, add crushed garlic and cauliflower florets.
  5. Stir and cook covered on low flame for around 5 minutes.
    Uncover, stir and fry on medium high flame to make the florets turn light brown around the ends.
  6. Add the spinach leaves and fry till the spinach wilt.
  7. Stir spinach leaves with cauliflower florets.
  8. Add coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder and salt.
    Fry for couple of minutes and remove from heat.

Cauliflower and Spinach Curry

     Serve cauliflower and spinach curry with steamed rice ,chappathi.
